City of Sammamish conceptual website redesign (UW - 2013)

Project team lead on UX assessment, interviews, persona's, iterative cart sorts (open / closed), revised information architecture, wireframes, prototyping (paper & Axure), user testing, visual design and responsive HTML protosite.

 

Usability Testing: Jumpshot/Kickstarter PC optimization and anti-virus protection software (UW - 2013)

Usability study evaluated the user's ability to access, register, download, start running, download, and exit the software. Used a mixed method approach which included a pre-test questionaire, task analysis, and post-test interview with Likert-scale and open-ended questions.

LPD Engineering website redesign consultation (2011)

Performed a content audit of exisiting marketing collatoral, prepared client survey with user profiles, provided revised information architecture alternatives to more effectively communicate diversity of engineering services to the end user, and coded HTML prototypes to help the Client determine the purpose of their rebranding efforts and intended audience.

dho+designs (2010)

Web Producer and designer on four person project team to build a photography portfolio site built on WordPress with Flickr mini-plugin to remotely access existing galleries.

Kaskade e-commerce protosite (2010)

A Pacific Northwest inspired E-commerce protosite showcasing 25 snowboarding related retail products. XHTML 1.0 Transitional, PHP includes. I learned the importance of organizing content, writing for web versus print and image optimization best practices.

Lawson Construction (2010)

Developed and designed all branding and written content for this Seattle-based and nationally certified sustainable construction contractor. XHTML 1.0 Transitional, PHP includes.

Jamie Larson Photography (2009)

My first project. Great content from this Portland, Oregon-based artist made it easy to stay out of the way and allow his photography to remain the focal point. Tables-based with a JavaScript image gallery and hand coded with a little CSS applied.

 

Web Designer - PACCAR Parts (2012 - 2013)

Responsible for UX design of new customer order information web application to check order status,view credits & returns information and view shipped per parcel inventory details. Deliverables include: mapping information architecture scenarios, use cases, design comps, iterative lo/hi-fi wireframes, drafting UI specifications and coding responsive mobile-friendly HTML5 prototypes with Bootstrap and Skeleton toolkits.

Design lead for IBM AS/400 modernization initiative. Existing green screen UI's used by a global network of 9 distribution centers are converted and styled via JavaScript and HTML/CSS to provide a modern web GUI. Phase I improvements incorporated web form best practices, use of typographic hierarchy and colorways to communicate a more intuitive user experience.

Visual design and HTML prototyping for vehicle mounted touch and voice activated interfaces for order fulfilment and shipping by warehouse employees. Designs emphasize the use of icons contextual indicators and revised error message copy to improve order fulfillment processing times and reduce user error.

 

Digital Marketing Specialist – PACCAR Parts (2011-2012)

Web designer/developer for revamped PACCAR Parts division protosite. A table-based site with inline CSS was replaced with a design that includes dynamic navigation, image gallery and SEO-friendly improvements including enhanced meta-data, refined anchor/alt and image tags and keyword focused web copy.

Performed cognitive walkthroughs to identify bugs and provided recommendations for site navigation improvements- www.m.trparts.com mobile site (Android).

Managed deployment of tri-monthly/tri-lingual e-mail advertising campaigns with DRAFTFCB for Kenworthpartsinsider.com and Peterbiltpartsinsider.com.

 

Project Manager + Business Development - The Blueline Group

Grew and managed initial $3K contract into $70K+ with Air Liquide America LP in 9 months.
